Our true (a.k.a. ceylon) cinnamon quills come from Sri Lanka and, like ginger, is one of those spices that can do it all - it's great in both sweet and savoury foods. Native to various parts of Asia, cinnamon was so prized in the ancient world that it was known to be used as an offering to gods in various cultures. Our cinnamon is also fit for the gods - it's been ethically sourced from the very best growers. It's especially divine when added to hot chocolate or milky coffee. A less calorific alternative is to juice a few of your favourite apples, warm it up, and add a dash of cinnamon for some spice. Our cinnamon blends beautifully with most of your dishes throughout the day- Sprinkling onto porridge, muesli, pancakes for breakfast or with your chicken, lamb and beef dishes at lunch or dinner; and of course as a key flavour in your the traditional crumbles and pies. You can also blend it into butter and make spicy cinnamon toast, try the butter on toasted teacakes and crumpets to! Whole pieces of cinnamon can be added to pilau rice, to scented sachets and pot pourri mixes and to mulled wine and cider blends.
